Having hated PE at school and previously having struggled to manage my weight, I've come to love exercise and healthy eating in my middle age.  I feel so much better physically and now I often have a walk when I need to clear my head too.

From walking briskly, Tom encouraged me to start running.  We worked through the Couch to 5k programme and now I feel very proud of myself!  I've managed to do the Clevedon Boxing Day run, several parkruns and Bristol and Severn Bridge 10ks.  Even if I have to stop and walk for a bit, I still feel impressed with myself for doing it at all.

Tom's and my enthusiasm for getting moving has rubbed off on friends and family.  Even my 70+ mum is walking parkruns now!  We've got some of our colleagues moving and now we're keen to help other people to enjoy the good feeling we get from walking and running too.

Top tip:  don't wait for the perfect time - just do it and you always feel better afterwards!

I've always been keen on keeping fit. I love all sorts of activity especially walking and running. I love its simplicity and accessibility. It doesn't matter where you are or what the weather is doing, all you need is a pair of shoes and you're out the door. I have completed a more than a few marathons and some races longer than that.  It all however starts with that first step out of the door.

Along with Sarah I'd like to offer guidance and regular support to help you take that step and then keep on taking more.  Walking and running will help you get fit, feel great and set you on course of a lifetime of healthy living.

What's not to love?

Come and join us.

Top tip:  the road to fitness begins with the first step.
